Hello, I’m Nita

I’m an Australian artist, author and maker with a love of watercolour, storybook worlds, nature and thoughtful design.

Nitale Creations grew from my love of making things — sometimes whimsical, sometimes colourful, sometimes a little wonky, but always created with heart. My studio is where stories become books, illustrations become greeting cards, and a simple idea can wander off in an entirely unexpected direction.

Much of my inspiration comes from the little things that make life feel special: gardens and birds, changing seasons, curious creatures, beautiful colours, quiet moments and the occasional character who seems to arrive with a personality all of their own.

I’m also the author and creator of The Flutterbys, a collection of illustrated children’s stories filled with friendship, kindness and gentle adventures, along with The Tails of Jack & Tillie, inspired by the mischievous world of two little dogs.

Alongside my books, I create original greeting cards, personalised keepsake cards, invitations, art prints and surface patterns. I love creating collections rather than simply individual designs — giving each one its own little world, mood and story.

For me, creating isn't about everything being perfectly polished or perfectly serious. I like things with character. A crooked line, an unexpected colour, a slightly peculiar creature or something that simply makes you smile.

Nitale Creations is my little corner of all those things.
